Every pairing is checked
An entry doesn't say "pairs well with white wine." It says Sauternes against Roquefort, and why the sweetness disarms the salt. When the honest answer is a rule of thumb rather than a specific bottle, we say that instead of inventing a match.
Sourced and dated, or left out
Every news story names its outlet, carries its date, and links straight out to the original reporting. Figures we can't confirm get left out rather than approximated. We summarise and analyse — never republish someone else's work wholesale.
Written from behind the glass
A recall is a lot-code problem. A drought in the Jura is a flavour problem two years from now. A closure is a gap in your case next quarter. The read attached to each story comes from someone who has had to solve those on a shift.

How do I sign in?
Both member editions use the same credentials, so one username and password opens both. They arrive in your welcome email right after you subscribe. Your browser asks for them the first time you open an edition, then remembers you for the rest of the session.
I lost my login.
Call or text (213) 300-4197 and we'll get you back in. Access is fulfilled personally — there's no automated reset to hunt for.
Can I suggest a cheese or wine that's missing?
